1. What We Collect

blocFeed collects only the data necessary to provide our service:

  • Account data: Email address and name when you sign up.
  • Feedback submissions: Data submitted by your users through the blocFeed widget, including the selected element (CSS selector), typed feedback text, an annotated screenshot of the page, page URL, and browser metadata (viewport size, user agent).
  • Usage data: Aggregated analytics about how you use the blocFeed dashboard (page views, feature usage). We use Vercel Analytics and Google Analytics with anonymized IP addresses.

2. What We Do Not Collect

  • We do not collect personal data from your end users beyond what they voluntarily submit through the widget.
  • We do not use tracking cookies or fingerprinting on your users.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising purposes.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the blocFeed service.
  • To process feedback submissions and deliver them to your dashboard.
  • To run AI-powered enrichment (categorization, priority, sentiment analysis) on feedback entries.
  • To send you notifications and alerts you have configured (Slack, email, Linear, Jira).

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS). All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Integration tokens (Slack, Linear, Jira) are encrypted before storage.

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained indefinitely unless you delete it. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your dashboard settings.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Supabase: Authentication and database hosting.
  • Vercel: Application hosting and analytics.
  • Google Analytics: Aggregated usage analytics with anonymized IPs.
  • OpenAI: AI-powered feedback enrichment (categorization, sentiment, summary).

7. Your Rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at hello@blocfeed.com.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.
